A keepsake is missing

Clear search and filters, then check Recently removed. Removing an item hides it while keeping its photos and story available for restoration.

A save failed or the archive cannot be read

Keep the editor open and check available storage. If the archive cannot be read, avoid uninstalling or clearing app data so that potentially recoverable material remains.

Changing devices and backups

Yifang has no accounts or automatic cross-device sync. Use Us > Backup and migration > Export full backup to create a .yifangbackup file and save it with the system file picker. The unencrypted file includes keepsakes, drafts, recently removed items, associated and retained images, profile photos, personal details and anniversaries. Your chosen file provider may sync it; Yifang does not automatically upload or share it.

Select the backup in the destination app, review the preview and choose Import this content. Import requires a completely empty library. Existing keepsakes, drafts, personal details, profile photos or retained media cause the import to be rejected, without merging or overwriting. Cancel and choose another file if you selected the wrong one.

Exporting does not delete the original library, and importing does not delete the backup. Check the restored content before deciding how to keep the original app and files. Deleting the app does not delete separately saved backups. Manage system backups and photo-library originals separately.

Place lookups and maps

Photo dates and coordinates are read locally. Coordinates are sent only after you choose Look up the place with Apple and confirm. Loading maps also requires consent. You can type a place without sending coordinates. An already sent request cannot be recalled.

Speech and typing

Speech requires system permission and may send audio to Apple for recognition. Yifang does not save recordings. You can type instead and manage permissions in system settings.

Clear local data

Individual permanent deletion is unavailable. Old image files may remain after replacing photos or discarding drafts. To clear all local data, use Delete App in iOS Settings; Offload App retains data. Manage photo-library originals and backups separately.
