Privacy policy
Local data and backups
Photos, stories, names, and anniversaries are stored inside the app on this device. There are no accounts, cloud sync, ads, analytics, or developer servers. System backups are managed through device settings.
Photos and the system camera
Only selected photos are read. Originals are copied into the app, and capture dates are read when available. Originals may contain location information. The system camera saves photos inside the app without adding another copy to Photos. The app does not look up place names, read your live location, or upload photos.
Offline speech
Microphone permission is requested only when you start speaking. Recognition runs offline on this device for up to 30 seconds, without saving audio or switching to an online service. Review the text before adding it to your story. Canceling or leaving the app stops recording. You can always type if offline recognition is unavailable.
Retention and deletion
Removed photos and text are kept and can be restored. Replaced photos may also remain. Individual permanent deletion is not available. Uninstalling the app clears its local storage. System backups and originals in Photos need to be managed separately.
Policy updates
We update this policy when features or data handling change. New uses of data will be explained before you use the relevant feature.
Support and privacy requests
Include the app name, platform, app and OS versions, steps and error message. Send only what is needed, redact private material, and never send passwords, recovery codes, tokens or a complete private collection.
